Fleck: "I never used to hear, ‘Coach, I think you should talk to my agent.' Now I know how (Athletic Director) Mark Coyle feels.”

When schools start paying kids what is the opt out of bowl games or leaving in the middle of the season going to look like?

There will have to be some type of rails on it to protect the schools $$ going to kids.

I tend to think about how all this impacts the players mental health. Kids are already stressed to the levels of a 1950's psychiatric patient (really, I read that) and now you throw booster money at them with expectations of performance. I wasnt ready for that at 18 - no chance.

Love that kids are getting compensated with how much money is being made off them, hope they have great support systems and can keep the vultures away.

Keeping the vultures away is a fantasy. The vultures are stronger than ever and greed to the next level. NIL as it is today is a farce and like some of the other things going on today, these victims will be crawling back for help. I wont be there.

I realized the other day we're going to be nearing the spot (if we're not already there) where players are making more money in college then they can in the NFL. Not everyone, but some guys. So they won't have an incentive to leave quite as fast as they can stay in college and pull in serious cash. Again, that's true for the very few, but I can't imagine the regular guys have agents either.
