Fleck joins at 2 minute mark...small talk (Chicago, Disney) at open and at end but program and team talk for about 22 minutes. If you were taking a shot, every time he mentions "culture", you got 24 drinks in during that time.

says 22 impactful players (guys who are going to play) were out for Spring and he hasn't been able to evaluate them.

Anybody know the guys who he hasn't been able to see? I know of 10: Lingen, Wright, Calhoun, Weyler, Beebe, Witham, Durr, Poock, Julian Huff, Cashman...I can't think of any other impact guys who missed Spring.

Good news is he says all will be back by August 10. Says they will be in better shape than they were prior. Best s and c staff in nation.

says buy in and culture establishment is way ahead of schedule.

really excited to see Lingen...TE can be incredibly effective in system...in pass game and run game...attached and detached...said Lingen has worked incredibly hard.

says Brooks and Smith are special...says with McCrary and others should have a pair and a spare...maybe 4 deep.

said young oline guys got priceless reps in Spring.

Kirk C one of best teachers in country...Croft and Rhoda seperated themselves some in Spring...neither grabbed job...open comp here again but hopes to have the guy in week or two...won't play games with obscuring choice...really wont know what at qb until live game situation...

likes dbs but thin...

likes experience on dline....

really likes lb group...loves Coughlin willing to help team at rush end

Thanks for the summary. Ok for those that know, I heard others on the board say numerous times TE doesn't really catch passes in his system. He's saying the complete opposite, straight from the horses mouth. Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

Someone can be effective on a pass play without catching the pass.

It looks like in 2016 they had just one TE who caught passes, Donnie Ernsberger with 9 receptions for 112. Not a lot of action receiving, maybe a lot of blocking?

It's crazy to see the receiving numbers of their WR, though. 97 receptions for 1500 yards and 19 TD's last year for Corey Davis. In 2015, Daniel Braverman had 108 receptions for 1367 yards and 13 TD's while Davis had 89 for 1429 yards and 12 TD's.

If they can make this offense hum, it will be so weird to see that kind of production out of our WR.

Trying to figure out if I would rather have the ball in the hands of my TE's or in the hands of my WR's? Hmm, can anyone help me with this?

I think one of the tweeters, maybe Gobie, stated he heard direct from staff it was simply a function of personnel at WMU. Their TE wasn't a dynamic pass threat in the mold Linger or Maxx. It would be insane not to utilize the H back in the pass game if they are athletic enought so if Lingen gets back or someone like Kieft or Paulson is ready to go I'd expect to see them get involved in the passing game.
