for Jags, seems a bit odd doesn't it? two others were met with, Jags not a candidate.

CJD, are you sticking with your earlier statements about who will be coach (someone playing second fiddle in their home state, etc.)?

If accurate, then it must be guys whose seasons are over with, right? (Not Kill, not Riley, etc.)

Are you saying the next Gopher head coach is going to be a "civil war" hero tomorrow?

However, didn't CJD post yesterday that the pen was being put to paper? Doesn't seem to have taken place. Yes, I question the validity of CJD.

I for one want to believe CJD has some serious info. That may end up being the wrong thing to believe, but only time will tell.

I'd be sick of playing second and third fiddle to Mack Brown and Mike Sherman too.

Correction, hopefully Mullen was 1 of the 2 that was met with!

Let Crazy Joe be an example to any of you who claim to have inside information. If you are going to blow smoke up our butts, you need to be as entertaining as Crazy Joe.

(There are two ways of interpreting 2nd fiddle: coaching the second most popular team; and, a coordinator.)

Malzahn - OC - Auburn (2nd fiddle at Auburn) for example and
Riley - HC - Oregon St. (2nd fiddle to Oregon)

The five names Crazy Joe told us to keep an eye on a few days ago were Fedora, Riley, Calhoun, Schiano, Hoke. Of those, Fedora, Riley, Calhoun, and Hoke play 2nd or 3rd (or 4th/5th/6th) fiddle in their states. Only Schiano doesn't.

I seriously doubt Mike Riley is going to find time to fly to Omaha the week of one of their biggest games of the season. Don't you think someone there might notice him not being around for even a few hours?

He didn't have to be there. Maturi did a videoconference interview from Dick Cheney's secret bunker under a Nebraska corn field.

Playing second fiddle in your own state is bad enough. Try playing second fiddle to your own brother just an hour away from Omaha.

Maybe the pen to paper comment by CJD was referring to Kelly's letter to Temple?
