It's astounding just how much stupid was crammed into such a short post. The idea that any Gopher fan is deciding whether to go to the 2016 opener based upon how we do against Central Michigan is laughable...then to sprinkle in the idea that the San Jose State victory in their bowl game has an effect on our attendance is pure comic gold.

The 2016 Golden Gopher Football Season is looking more and more promising to me. TC and his STAFFERS are going to bring a fresh approach to Gopher Football and I think Gopher prospects are rising. I'm there in my season ticket seats for EVERY game in 2016, God willing! This is really getting interesting with TC & his STAFFERSl Take the offense to the edges and out into space and show 'em stuff on defense that will take their edge off and make 'em throw the ball. This is going to be ALL RIGHT and ON SCHEDULE. Win enough Big Ten Games and the people will buy tickets! Make your donations...itemize your taxes...many of us do that. Take your deduction. Keep your seniority on the seating priority lists. BE THERE, because you know damn well you would miss it if you missed being at the games. Have a blast the way you always do when you go to the stadium to cheer the Gopher Team on! TRADITION...you will miss it more than you know if you break it and have to start the tradition all over. Just make it happen!

Yeah a bad post, probably just written to troll anyway. One game will not make a difference.

However, if they do lose to the Central Michigan Chippewas, that means that they would have lost 6 out of their last 7 games. They would have won a single game since the 11th of October. That's the worst second half of a season since Brewster's 1-11 year in 2007 and they've ended a lot of seasons badly.

Now throw in the fact that next year the vast majority of seats will go up in price and Nebraska, Michigan and Badger fans won't be buying tickets. Iowa fans sure won't need to buy Season Tickets get seats on 10/8/16.

Nobody outside of Gopher Internet Boards will think that those three scenarios will lead to a big increase in Season Ticket sales.

Beat CMU and at least end the season on a positive note.
