OSU beats stubborn Purdue, 78-69.
Hammons goes for 18 & 16 for Boilermakers.

Glad to have the conference season back!
Nice win for the Buckeyes. Probably good for the Gophers too in the long run. Too early to start scoreboard watching, but I'll be pulling for the Indiana/Purdue/Illinois/Michigan teams to lose. Seems like that is our competition for tourney spots eventually.

Purdue will be tough on Sunday. I can't remember the last season I've had so much uncertainty to how we'll start the big ten season. I could see 3-0, 0-3, or anything in between. Pretty sure game #4 will be an L though.
That is going to be a tough match up for EE. (Is for anybody.) If he's only 10 pounds heavier than Eliason, as is listed, than my eyes are really bad.
Mathieu and Craft (10 assists, 4 steals) will be a fun one to watch.
I hope your right about that one. I love what Mathieu brings to the table interms of quickness, defense, shooting, and setting up others. I just am not sure he is ready for Craft's defense. He is on e of the best. Then again it's Ohio St.'s athletism and timely shooting that has killed us in the past and that was with pretty athletic guys for MN on the team.
