OSU beats stubborn Purdue, 78-69.

Hammons goes for 18 & 16 for Boilermakers.

Glad to have the conference season back!

Nice win for the Buckeyes. Probably good for the Gophers too in the long run. Too early to start scoreboard watching, but I'll be pulling for the Indiana/Purdue/Illinois/Michigan teams to lose. Seems like that is our competition for tourney spots eventually.

On My Way to 1000 posts, mods willing.

It will probably take you about 6 or 7 thousand, the numbers aren't accurate.

I went from 10,000 to 10,054 with one post.

That is going to be a tough match up for EE. (Is for anybody.) If he's only 10 pounds heavier than Eliason, as is listed, than my eyes are really bad.
Mathieu and Craft (10 assists, 4 steals) will be a fun one to watch.

Exactly. Any losses by those teams are a good thing.

Purdue will be tough on Sunday. I can't remember the last season I've had so much uncertainty to how we'll start the big ten season. I could see 3-0, 0-3, or anything in between. Pretty sure game #4 will be an L though.

Thanks for heads up on Tuesday, daytime action.

MSU and PSU were tied at 29 as of the writing of this reply.

Hammons runs hot/cold. Important for EE to put him into early mope mood, because he is capable of disappearing.

Let's go Gophers!

jaymil, I love accurate predictions that cover everything. :)

I hope your right about that one. I love what Mathieu brings to the table interms of quickness, defense, shooting, and setting up others. I just am not sure he is ready for Craft's defense. He is on e of the best. Then again it's Ohio St.'s athletism and timely shooting that has killed us in the past and that was with pretty athletic guys for MN on the team.

I hope so too. Craft looked very good yesterday. Gophers get them at home in their first contest. Pitino will have a stretch of 5 days to prepare.

I had to do a double take on the Illini 3 point shooting in the Indiana game. 2-17? Also, the Illini with 12 steals. Hoosiers turned it over.....23 times. Ferrell leading the way with 6.

Should be a fun year in the Big Ten... Just not sure where teams are going to fall into place so its kinda exciting.
