I hope they are right. Get off to a good start in the Big 10 and the Gophers will appear in this projection sooner rather than later.

But we all know NCAA projections at this point in time are rather meaningless. Early- to mid-February. ... that's when we'll start having a truer feel for who's legit and who's not.

Gophers have work to do. In 2008, they were in a similar spot (10-2) but didn't do the necessary work in B10 regular season, hence NIT. In 2009, they were better off (12-0) but "coasted" and earned NCAA bid.

In 2010, they have to do some work.

By that, I meant More Work than if they had gone 11-1 (as I predicted). At 9-3, they need a better B10 regular season and possibly 1 or 2 W in B10 tourney to earn NCAA bid.
