It's that time of year. Starting today, the College Hoops Summit (CHS) moves away from "Dribbles and Scribbles" to focus on daily "Bubblicious Board" updates. We're mostly about the bubble and the Summit League from now until Selection Sunday.

Deep Thoughts, by Buzz Studley
Santa Clara (22-5) is a good basketball team, but I’m skeptical the Broncos will receive an at-large bid unless they beat Gonzaga or beat St. Mary’s a second time. It’s likely a requirement the Broncos beat one or the other because of its Quad 4 loss to #310 Loyola-Chicago. The Selection Committee has a tendency to punish non-Power 5 at-large candidates (like Santa Clara) for bad losses, but not those from the Power 5.

148 (of 365) teams have appeared in my weekly "Field of 68" projection throughout the season. Only 26 have appeared every week:

Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
Auburn
BYU
Duke
Florida
Gonzaga
Houston
Illinois
Iowa
Iowa State
Kansas
Louisville
Michigan
Michigan State
North Carolina
Purdue
Saint John's
Saint Mary's
Tennessee
Texas Tech
UConn
USC
Utah State
Vanderbilt

Of those, only 4 seem in some peril of not making the tournament:

Auburn
Iowa
Saint Mary's
USC
