That crew of clowns had many gems to pick from.

I'm going to go with the phantom foul on Lil' Dre in OT with about 30 seconds left. He's going around a screen and gets the foul; not sure if he even touched anyone.

Whattuya got?

Joey's 5th foul was pretty bad. There was no whistle until after the FSU player took 4 steps and then fell down out of bounds. I couldn't see the officials, but from the sounds of the three amigos (consider the source), it seemed like the refs all looked at each other, shrugged and then decided, "welp, I suppose we've got to call something." the "foul" was body contact that happens on every single rebound, every single time.

I a m partial to the Big Mo travelling call

That was a horrible call. It was obvious there was some kind of contact by the defender. It should have been called three ways: a foul, a clean block, or a jump ball.

I gotta go with the Mo travel because even the 3 stooges that were announcing couldn't figure out how that could be a travel.

The biggest screw up by the officials was when one of them came from out of bounds, lifted his foot, and got hit by the ball!

Now let me give you a rambling ten minute explanation explaining why that should have been a turnover.....

The one where the ball CLEARLY went off of FSU and the ref was right there but called it off us. He was clueless all night. Another ref had to come up to him and say "Dude you completely f*cked up that call, you better switch it" (Quote may not be entirely accurate). And then he switched it.

ESPN assigning to our game a hockey guy who knows nothing about basketball, a bitter old coach in the express lane to dementia, and his sycophantic little sidekick who couldn't get enough of the crazy coach's yarns. THAT was the worst call of the night.

Not necessarily a bad call, but the 4 minute delay where they couldn't decide the hell they were doing and ended up removing all the substitutions before finally resuming play was a highlight for me.

All the while, the announcers are spewing nonsense. It was then that I thought I may be dying a slow death.

I also hated the Joey call, but just because of how late it was. It was results based officiating, which I can't stand. I didn't think that calling a foul would have been that unreasonable. However, it seems like the refs thought "well, we don't want to give him a 5th foul for that contact, especially when the defender has the ball anyway" (which to me is an unacceptable thing for the refs to consider), and then when he fell out of bounds, the refs thought "well, we don't think it is fair to have the defense turn the ball over when there was some contact" (which is also an unacceptable consideration). At the point Joey made contact with the defender, there either was a foul, or there wasn't, and it is the refs job to make that decision at that point in time without considering any other game situation crap.

I also thought the Mo pump fake, where the FSU player landed on his back as he shot a layup in the first half - with no call, ranked up there with those listed above.

NOOOOO, it went off a Fla St guy's knee so it made NOOOO difference

Damn it, you stole my answer. Knight is already in dementia land. He would be giving rambling answers while 2 or 3 plays happened w/ no play-by-play.

Definitely the Mo travel. Took two points off the board.

It was this no call that got me starting drinking. By the time the idiocy with the ref and his foot and what not...I was so drunk I thought it was funny.

Take your pick, lots of good nominations in this thread. FSU shot their first 1-and-1 just 6:30 into the second half. Unbelievable...they had 20 minutes (rest of regulation and OT) in the bonus.

One bad call no one talked about is, watch the FSU screener (Okaro White) on the game-tying three. He's running by, not even close to set, when he clips Malik Smith which enables Bookert to get the shot off.

There was at least one missed goaltending call in the first half that was obvious. Without going back through the video, i can't recall which gopher shot, but I know it was obvious, and I think the stooges even made a comment about it.

Nobody talked about that amid all the noise about whether the Gophers should have fouled, but I did point it out to my wife at the time. Malik wasn't given a chance to defend that shot.

Joey's 5th was definitely a foul, but either call it when it happens or don't call it.
