I have none for this year or next, with the exception of improvement. I'm enjoying the season. Give Kill time. He's won everywhere he's been, but never right away. Looking forward to flying back next week and watching the game and tailgating hard.

Took UNI to a bowl game first season, did he not?..... He does improve every year and i'm still, sigh, optimistic, but.. NMSU? Eden Prairie would have beaten them.

Northern Illinois wasn't broken when he got there.

FWIW, it's NIU, not UNI (which is Northern Iowa).

This game lowered my expectations and it's obvious the situation is worse (especially on the O and D lines) than I thought going into the season. I still trust Kill to make the right decisions. My only complaint about the coaching on Saturday is that they seemed a step behind on making adjustments, especially on defense.

He was 6-7 at NIU, but yes it was a bowl. Kill has said many times that this is like rebuilding SIU, not NIU. Let's let Kill lead the way and hopefully the administration, coaches, players, and fans all do whatever Coach requests of them.

Enjoy the season, don't fret...

This is a young team with raw talent at most positions. But hey there are sparkles here and there, and the game will slow down for these guys.

Yep, they had a bad year with injuries the previous season and only won 2 games. They needed some work, but they had recent success prior. As noted, Kill said this is more like SIU, which sounds like a complete slap in the face, but hey, the proof is in the pudding, and I can't really argue him right now. That's not to give Kill an excuse for losing this game, but it is what it is.

I have no expectations anymore each week. I'm just gonna embrace the rebuild and enjoy each game and hope for wins and improvement, maybe an upset or two in B1G season.
