So, I was just watching the Wiscy game again and just fully came to the following two conclusions...Brew has to go and Gray should start next week.

The first conclusion is based on the terrible play calling and decisions made during the game...an prime example is the first drive. We are marching down the field...got good momentum...2 and 6 from the 35 or so and we run two long out pass plays on 2nd and 3rd downs and then go for it on 4th down...don't make it of course. The thing is...we obviously had a plan to go for it on 4th downs coming into the game...so why not make 2nd and 3rd downs more productive...you know your in 4 down territory...so manage the sticks or go for the endzone on second and get 3-5 on third so 4th down is 1-2 yards. BAD COACHING!!!!!

Gray needs to start so he is ready for next year...

+1 I was going to post the same thing. Why not run once on 2nd or 3rd down? At least that way you're looking at 4th and 2, vs an obvious passing down. Was Brewster like "derrrr, I guess we can go for it on 4th". Or did some math major point out to him that 35 + 10 + 7 is a number much bigger than Ellestad's range?

every possession and stay on defense has example after example of piss poor coaching and decision making-take your pick, they are a dime a dozen-it boggles the mind

If they had run on second down and not picked up any yards you would be complaining about poor play selection. It's a case of execution and this team is not doing it. I do agree that Gray should get the starts the rest of the season. Weber is not getting it done and makes many poor throws. What have we got to lose at this point.

I'm not a Weber hater, but I see no practical reason to continue playing him. Letting the 2011 season begin now might give the team a spark and even if it doesn't, Gray still needs to start getting some game reps at QB. If we go the whole season only playing Weber, that is a disgrace. McKnight and Allen can carry the receiving load. At this point, we have nothing left to lose. Reputation, pride, progress, hope...all gone.

Off the topic but I didn't think it was worth starting a new thread, plus we are talking trash about Brewster's game day decisions so this could fit right in: was that forward progress fumble we got challengeable? I didn't see Brew challenge that. I'm assuming it's not otherwise it would have been mentioned on here already.

I believe its a judgement call by the officials and therefore not challengeable. Bad call if you ask me.

Another example: The third quarter ends and the Gophers line up for the first play of the fourth quarter and Weber had to change the play at the line. So Brew had about three minutes to come up with something and Wisco knew exactly what he was planning. Thank you, Mr. Predictable.

I could understand the second point if we were going to keep the coaching staff. However, there is no need to start Gray since more then likely we'll be starting (once again :( ) with a new scheme next year.

Starting Gray is admitting you have given up on the season, we know by Brewster quotes he hasn't. So that won't happen until at least two more weeks.

Maybe it's because it is is Monday morning, but I have no idea what you're even trying to say here. Also, you do realize the Brew is not calling the plays, right? I know he hired the coaches, but he is not actually the guy calling the plays.

A little late to the party my friend...
