... what a prima donna. Seemed to me that the refs were overlooking a number of calls (both fouls, traveling etc) when Turner was involved. And he seemed to be bending the ear of an official whenever he could.

I was really surprised the refs took no action when Turner decided he'd been fouled and walked off the court to obtain "medical" attention. I don't think I've ever seen that without the refs either charging a time-out to the team or calling a foul (or a technical).

I couldn't see the post-game handshake so will leave the speculation to others. Nor could I see Tubby's reaction to him ... Tubby was typically (and predictably) gracious in his post-game comments about Turner.

While I am not as old as you, Rick, we had a phrase for it in our neighborhood: Big Baby. Prima donna was too big a word for us.

I prefer....

.... whiny little girl?

It's too bad that the best player in the conference is the biggest whiner. I'm just trying to think if he was actually WORSE today or in last year's matchup in Columbus. I recall last year he couldn't keep his mouth shut either.

On the other hand, I would really like to thank him for continually dribbling into the double-team at mid-court. That REALLY helped the Gophers get things going in the second half.

How about those custom-made time outs for a breather as well? WAIT!!!! STOP THE ACTION, there's a chance I MIGHT have lost a contact lens....

The CROWD at The Barn today did what they were supposed to do...intimidate the opponent and let the opponent know that "THIS IS OUR BARN AND YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!!!"

Oh, so good Ogee, that's the way I saw it as well - By the way how are things in NV? Hope you're well.

We had a lot of opera-loving Italians in our neighborhood. ... ;)

The rematch could be interesting.

BTW Ogee nailed it.

Not bad, trout

No reason to leave Sin City just yet. Too bad there wasn't a Rodent hoops game in the area this year. I went back for the NCAA Regionals at the Univ. of PHX Stadium last spring, the site of our Gophers win over Louisville. I just don't think that place is well suited for basketball like that, but I'm no expert.

I'm heading to PHX in the morning for the Cardinals - Packers playoff game tomorrow (only because I have Cards season tickets, don't ask why). Getting tired of that 4-5 hour drive to PHX though...

GO GOPHERS!!!
