The school isn't wrong to do this. Recruits can change their minds, and so can the schools. Michigan has the leverage to do this, other schoos don't. Some players commit, with no intention to go to that school unless nothing else better comes along. If you don't have the leverage, you get to be a safety school. If you accept a job offer, but still go in interviews, that job offer might well get pulled.
 

This is actually reassuring. I'm glad the schools that can afford to don't just lie down for a kid with an over-inflated ego at 17 years old.
 

IT is pretty simple don't commit until you are ready.
