per ESPN:
It's February, which means the college football world officially turns its eyes to recruiting. We'll start by turning back the calendar to find the highest impact prospect each Big Ten school has signed in the past decade. This isn't the highest-rated recruit, but a look back at what scouts thought of the players that meant most to the program back when they signed their letters of intent. We began by reviewing the five-year stretch from 2006-2010. Here is a list of the top player, by school, from the 2011-2015 recruiting classes.
Minnesota: RB David Cobb, Class of 2011
Recruiting rankings: 3 stars (Grade: 77), No. 60 RB in nation
Cobb set the single-season school record as a senior for carries (314) and yards (1,626). His 2,893 rushing yards rank seventh in program history, and he was a big reason Minnesota nearly won the Big Ten West in 2014, displaying the downhill running ability scouts praised in high school.
