It's February, which means the college football world officially turns its eyes to recruiting. We'll start by turning back the calendar to find the highest impact prospect each Big Ten school has signed over the last decade. This isn't the highest-rated recruit, but a look back at what scouts thought of the players that meant most to the program back when they signed their letters of intent. We'll start with reviewing the five-year stretch from 2006-10.

Minnesota Golden Gophers: QB Adam Weber, Class of 2006

Recruiting rankings: Scout Grade: 74, No. 60 QB in nation

He played in a run-first high school offense, so he was a very under-the-radar prospect. But for the Golden Gophers, the payoff was nearly immediate. After redshirting his freshman season, Weber became a four-year starter and set most every important school record at quarterback. He is Minnesota's all-time leading passer with 10,917 yards, and he also holds the marks for career TDs (72), attempts (1,594), completions (909) and QB starts (50).

Time to move on to things that really count. Who puts out all these dumb lists any way.

It's the off-season and recruiting is about to wrap up. Calm down. It's just an article.

Adam Weber would've been one of the all-time greats had it not been for the carousel at OC...he was a special QB and was a 'victim' of circumstance. I certainly hope he gets a shot at the coaching opportunity that he deserves-he already knows what good 'doesn't' look like from a QB's perspective
