per ESPN:

Dungy will return to his alma mater on Saturday morning and speak to the University of Minnesota football team before the Gophers' spring game. And he'll undoubtedly harken back to a few Minnesota stories during his Hall of Fame induction speech this summer -- which Dungy already anticipates will be a challenge to keep within the allotted 10-minute time slot.

"Going to school here, and coaching here for four years, being here for eight years, you just feel like you are a Gopher, and you're part of the community," Dungy said. "It's been awesome -- keeping these relationships alive. It's been special."

Dungy's "Arise with the Guys" event on Saturday morning will have a decidedly local feel, as the coach will incorporate Skype interviews with Minnesota Twins manager Paul Molitor, second baseman Brian Dozier and pitcher Kyle Gibson. Dungy will also honor four-time Vikings Pro Bowler Jeff Siemon, who played middle linebacker for the team from 1972-82 and spoke to the Gophers' football team while Dungy was in school.

I'm starting to think Dungy is lobbying for the AD position.

I'm thinking he doesn't have to lobby...just say a few words like, "I'm interested..." Certainly would change the tone and perception of the department overnight. He'd definitely be able to get guys like Molitor, Winfield, Broten, Decker and the likes to be more visible around the programs and with recruiting and fundraising.

Think it's a real long shot. Has he been asked publicly lately about his interest? Haven't seen anything myself.

It was a little tongue in cheek. He seems to be everywhere lately though.
