per ESPN:

Both teams have their problems, but I’d argue that Michigan State’s might be a little bit easier to fix. The Spartans are the most penalized team in the Big Ten so far this season. They are on the negative side of the turnover margin. If Dantonio and company can find a way to clean those things up -- and that’s not a certainty at this point -- he should have a good enough team to win or compete with at least six of the eight teams left on their schedule.

Iowa, on the other hand, gave up 437 rushing yards to Northwestern and North Dakota State in its two losses this season. The Hawkeyes’ running game is ranked 95th nationally without facing any particular daunting defensive front through five games. There is, of course, a chance that Kirk Ferentz and his staff figure out how to improve around the line of scrimmage, but those issues appear to be less about a team maturing and trying to figure things out. Beathard and Iowa’s offense is a well-established outfit at this point.

Go Gophers!!

Losing to an FCS team and a struggling NW team versus losing to a very good Wiscy team and a decent Indiana team. I'm not sure that this that tough of a question.
