ESPN: Season recap: Minnesota

About what you would expect from Rittenberg. Nothing ground breaking but a very fair look back on the season with a little speculation to the future. Didn't see anything in there that I disagreed with.

We really were playing pretty good football towards the end of the year.
Attrition and injuries aside, if Gray can make plays like he did down the stretch this year in next season's NC games we should have a good start at 3-1 or 4-0, and a very good shot at NW/Purdue at Home, and even Illinois on the road.
Even without any idea of what our defense will look like, we have a good shot at a solid season next year. Replacing Bennett, Tinsley, and Royston will be key, as will developing/healing the offensive line into what we all expect that unit can be.

fyi - this review/article was written by his counterpart brian bennett. it was not penned by adam rittenberg.

The most interesting thing in the article is the notation that Kill said the team didn't begin practicing the way he wants until the week before the Nebraska game. It is the second half against Nebraska that most of us saw as a real change in attitude, leading on to the two victories and the good effort against MSU. In other words, the team began to play for Kill & Co. at about that time - and it showed.
