Believe it or not, the first two months of the college football season are over. We’re almost in November.

Every program, whether they are a conference and national title contender or a bottom of the barrel team, wants to finish the regular season strong. For some schools, this will be a tougher task than others.

ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) measures “Remaining Strength of Schedule,” predicting which teams have the hardest road ahead of them. It is looking like rough sledding for several Big Ten teams.

According to the FPI, the 10 teams with the hardest November schedules are as follows:

Minnesota
Rutgers
Maryland
Kansas
Oklahoma
Michigan
Colorado
Missouri
Arizona
Nebraska

Minnesota is a surprising 8-0, but the competition gets much stiffer for the Golden Gophers over the final few weeks. Minnesota hosts Penn State and Wisconsin and has to play at Iowa, with a road trip to Northwestern mixed in. The game against the Wildcats is the only one in which Minnesota is favored by the FPI.

Go Gophers!!

Love it. Then these idiots can't quit asking who we've played. To be the best, we gotta beat the best - the way it should be.

We play the schedule given to us. How many teams are 8-0 right now? Not many. How many of those teams have absolutely manhandled all of their conference opponents? Alabama, Ohio St and Minnesota. Should we apologize for kicking the sh*t out of the teams the Big Ten gave us to play? Ridiculous.

Before you correct me, I don't care about Purdue's onside kick and late score. We ripped their defense apart before we went conservative and the stats support that. So yeah, 5 Big Ten games and not one was ever in doubt.

Regarding having the toughest schedule in the nation over the next four games: Yes, I agree. It's corny and it's hackneyed, but it's also true; to be the best you have to beat the best.

There's no way to know for certain, but if I had to guess, i'd bet P.J. Fleck and the team are thinking, "Bring it on. This is exactly where we wanted to be."

True. Las Vegas will have us underdogs in all but Northwestern and that game could be a trap game. Brutal. Just guessing, but the most likely losses are Penn St and Iowa, with NW gritty and tough and beating Wisconsin considered an upset, which Gophers will capable of at that point - let it all hang out.

It's simple, now: Just win.

If the Gophers beat these teams, all the comments about a weak schedule will be forgotten.
