per ESPN:
Minnesota obviously leans on its power-rushing attack first and foremost, and that's not going to change no matter how much better Maye or a deeper, more athletic group of receivers might be in the 2015 season. But heading into spring practice with Maye as the most productive wideout in the fold and a piece of paper that shows he's coming off a modest 16-catch season, there's no question that both he and the Gophers are expecting much more by the fall.
"I have it sitting on the desk, and every time I walk past that desk, I glance at it," Maye said. "I see it and I'm like, 'Come on, man, we've got to step it up.' That's the motivation factor for me, because I've always been the type of guy who wanted to push myself as much as possible to get better, extra work, anything to be better.
"When it comes down to that type of thing, getting those opportunities to make those kinds of plays, I want to be able to do that."
