per ESPN:

Brooks is a difference-maker, and all it took to realize that was his first game with meaningful snaps against Ohio. He rushed for two touchdowns -- this 40-yarder to tie the score in the second quarter was a real beauty -- and tallied 82 yards. His final touchdown, a 3-yarder with 30 seconds remaining, helped Minnesota come back to win.

Brooks has serious big-play ability, and one of the better examples from last season came when he broke off an impressive 71-yard touchdown run against Purdue. He slipped through a hole at the line of scrimmage, threw a tackler off him at midfield to cut down the right sideline, evaded a shoestring tackle at the 20 and then cut back on two more defenders at the goal line. It truly was awe inspiring, and it marked a critical play in the game. Minnesota led only 10-6 early in the third quarter before his score, but the Gophers went on to destroy the Boilermakers, 41-13.

Go Gophers!!

I would definitely agree that Brooks is our most exciting player. He's fun to watch.

Really impressed with Brooks last year, nice surprise. Hope he can keep it up this year!
