per ESPN:

The Kentucky Wildcats will lose their top seven scorers -- Karl-Anthony Towns, Willie Cauley-Stein, Devin Booker, Trey Lyles, Dakari Johnson, Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison -- to the NBA draft from the team that won 38 straight games before losing in the national semifinals.

Towns and Cauley-Stein are both considered lottery picks by NBA executives. Towns is likely to go either first or second overall, along with Duke freshman Jahlil Okafor -- who has yet to officially declare for the draft.

As expected @Duke_MBB announces Jahlil Okafor declares for NBA draft. Let the Okafor-Towns No. 1 pick debate begin.

Are Tyus and Okafor going to insist on an NBA package deal too?

Let's hear some projections as to how high Tyus goes, if he declares.

Are the wolves due to move up in the lottery?

Okafor #1

Looking more and more likely Towns will go #1, but we will see after workouts and the combine and such.

it dawned on me last night, that with all of the underclassmen declaring for the draft, it will only take a few more before to leave and Joey King will be the best senior power forward in the nation

Some nights he is already.

Will Andrew and Aaron Harrison also be joining the State Farm National Bureau of Assists?

TWolves fans almost unanimously want Towns first and then are split between Okafor and Russell.

i think the post-game quote/statement after the Wisconsin game may make State Farm pause and look for another spokesperson for their product.

I don't get the Harrison twins. They're good but they're not that good. 1 of em had the run of hitting big shots but not that impressed with them as college guards. Cauley-Stein and Towns I like.

Harrison twins? Buy-sell scenario.

Okafor is the 5th best prospect at best in this draft. Towns, Russell, Mudiay, and Winslow are better.

The Wolves should take the best player of those four. I believe that player is Towns, but I would not be surprised if any of those other three have better careers.

I can't watch an nba game but I am always intrigued by the draft and the lottery.

Just one of my weird points.

It is between okafor or towns as the best prospect, I would be happy with either of them. Don't want another guard.

Don't need another center either, but Towns would be an upgrade over our centers. The wings would be better than our wings. The PGs would be better tham Rubio. We don't have anyone who is or will be in the top 10 in the league at his position other than Wiggins. We need the best player available.

We definitely need a center. Pek is ok, but can't stay healthy. Dieng isn't too bad, but is he a starter every night in the NBA? Probably not

*Meanwhile Zach Lavine drops 37 PTS, 9 REB, 4 AST, 6-10 3PT at Golden State tonight*! Personally, I'd rather have Towns than Okafor. What sets it apart for me is Towns' far superior defense, quickness, shot-blocking, free throw shooting, and ability to play both frontcourt positions.

Agreed. The one thing the Wolves need inn dropped is defense. And Okafor doesn't play any, although either does Russell. Towns looks to be the prize, but he'll go first overall.

Luckily, the Wolves are now tied for the best chance to get the 1st pick. New York gets a crack at Detroit, so they could surpass us!

Wolves have been so poor in the draft. It will be interesting to see where they go with their pick....wherever it may fall.

Based on their 25 years of drafting, I'd guess it will go poorly.

Kentucky and the draft.

The Harrison twins aren't considered first round prospects. They are second round to undrafted. They aren't athletic enough for the one on one league. Here is where i see them being drafted:

Towns #1 Looks like a stronger version of Lamarcus Aldridge.
WC Stein #4-#7 A 7' more athletic than Garnett but just as raw on offense.
Booker #13-#18 Great shooter limited minutes at Kentucky.
Lyles #18-#23 Highly skilled pf, was over shadowed. A steal this late.
D Johnson #20-#30 A true center with limited minutes. Reminds me of D. cousins. could be a steal this late.

2nd round:
Andrew H. #40- undrafted.
Aaron H. #45- undrafted.

I wouldn't be surprised is neither gets drafted. I would be surprised if both get drafted.
