Minnesota
Commitments: 15
ESPN 300 commitments: 0
Who they have: Receiver Nate Andrews (Fairhope, Ala./Fairhope), cornerback Jalen Myrick (Savannah, Ga./Savannah Christian) and running back Berkley Edwards (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) provide a nice boost of athleticism. Andrews recently visited Florida State and was offered by Alabama. The Golden Gophers have added just two commitments since mid-December as a lack of momentum from four losses in five games to end the season sapped some of the positive energy generated by a 4-0 start. Outside linebacker Rayfield Dixon (Loxahatchee, Fla./Seminole Ridge Community) was the latest to commit. His offers included Purdue, West Virginia and Mississippi State. Under Armour All-America game participant Ryan Santoso (Pace, Fla./Pace) rates No. 7 nationally as a place-kicker and measures 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds.
Who they want: The Gophers remains in pursuit of outside linebacker Reggie Spearman (Chicago/Simeon), an Illinois commit who recently visited Minnesota. Cornerback Vontarius West (Bartow, Fla./Bartow), who made a trip to South Florida last week, is also set to see Minnesota soon. Safety Tedric Thompson (Valencia, Calif./Valencia), Ole Miss commit and outside linebacker Rashawn Smith (Florence, Ala./Florence), running back Rapheal Webb (Gainesville, Fla./Gainesville) and offensive tackle Nate Wozniak (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) are also considering offers from Minnesota.
