Needs help: Minnesota (4-2). First things first: The Gophers need to win out. If Nebraska wins on Saturday, Minnesota would need the Huskers to lose one of their final two games. Then, by beating Michigan State in the season finale, the Gophers would win the division on tiebreakers. If the Spartans win on Saturday, Minnesota would need Michigan State to lose at Northwestern on Nov. 23 to have a chance.

I think the simplest way to look at the Legends Division is in baseball terms.

If Michigan State beats Nebraska this weekend, its magic number to clinch the division is 1. The Gophers would be the only Legends team with the possibility of unseating Sparty. In that scenario any Sparty win or Gopher loss in the final two weeks means MSU goes to Indianapolis.

If the Huskers beat Sparty, then we have ourselves a free for all in the Legends. Though Nebraska would control its own destiny, the Gophers and MSU certainly still would have a better than decent chance of going to Indy. It's certainly not a gimme' that the Huskers would win @ Penn State and then at home vs. Iowa.

Is anyone else just really excited that a late season discussion about Big Ten title game trips includes the Gophers? I know I am!
 

Pretty scary that the BT Legends division could be decided by some Husker 4th stringer with a pornstache making a last second catch on a hail mary
 



If you would have told me at the start of the season that we could be in a position where, to win the division, all we needed was to beat Wisco and MSU, and then hope for one other game to fall our way, I would have taken it in a heartbeat.
