Go Gophers!!

Let's say it's the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. Does anyone have a ballpark figure (or even a guess) on how much a air, hotel, game package would cost? I've never looked in to it before. I assume you can buy packages through the U?

S.D. is one of the more expensive U.S. destinations. Don't waste your money buying tix through the U. I scalped them for $30 at the Citrus and paid way too much. My friend got them for $20.

We booked a quick in-and-out trip (2 nights only) on our own last year when the Badgers were there. I think the total was between $1.0 and $1.5K, but may have been a tad higher if we rented a car. Then the flight was cancelled and we ended up staying home. Luckily, it was on SW, so was only out the game tickets (outrageous, as others have noted.)

Sun Country flies direct to LAX or Palm Springs (and San Diego on limited days but more $$) and are usually 30-50 bucks cheaper per ticket vs Delta. Both former destinations will be around a 2-3 hr drive to San Diego pending traffic. Obviously direct flights to San Diego can make more sense because no rental car is required so depending on size of party and if youre doing a hit and run trip may be the way to go. If you want to spend time in SoCal seeing the sights the first two choices might be the way to go. Much to see and do.
