ESPN: B1G revenues estimated to keep rising

This is the real revenue sharing

The projected payout is based on budget estimates and is expected to include $7.2 million from the Big Ten Network, a drop from last year's $7.9 million. However, contracts with ESPN/ABC and CBS will result in $10 million per school, which is a 22 percent increase over last year.

Go Gophers!!

Earlier there was a string about the revenue sharing for football and basketball ticket revenue. As I recall the amount of actual money transferred for football was at most about $1,000,000 for football from the top revenue teams to the bottom revenue teams and significantly less for basketball. The real revenue sharing is in the almost $25,000,000 per team in television revenue from the Big Ten Network and ESPN. Like the NFL television is king.
