ESPN: A round-robin begins in the West

A round-robin begins in the West: Iowa travels to Minnesota this week for the first head-to-head meeting between the four teams still in contention for the West Division’s seat in the Big Ten championship game. Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin all have one conference loss so far. All four will play each other in the final four weeks of the season, setting up a de facto round-robin tournament to see who wins the division. Each Saturday will have at least one game with postseason implications from here on out. Minnesota might have the toughest road remaining. In addition to playing those three opponents, they also host Ohio State on Nov. 15.

Iowa is our best shot. At the beginning of the year, many said the team might better,but because of the schedule our record may be worse. Iowa would give us 7 wins.

I heard that said a lot, and obviously TCU was a much better opponent than anyone we had OOC last year. However, I think our conference schedule is easier this year than it was last year (I'll be curious to see the end of the season so I can compare our opponents' combined B1G record to last years), so while 7-5 might not be a step backwards, 3-5 in conference definitely would be.

To get to 7-5 Gophs would have to go 4-4 in conference. Best shot for a win is Iowa. Very tough November.

Definitely not Ohio State, and probably not @ Nebraska. So, I guess that leaves two for ya then!
