Wanted to let everyone know that I watched the WKU/Gophs game on ESPN 3 last night on my regular tv using Xbox Live's new espn3 streaming service and it worked great. The new service just started on xbox live a few weeks ago and this was the first time I had a reason to check it out.

You still need to have an ISP that offers espn 3, but its a heck of a lot better watching it on the big screen than on the computer. In fact, since comcast doesn't currently offer espn U in hd, I might try to watch tonight's game on espn 3 if they're offering it, since espn 3 is in high def.

Check it out, there's tons of sweet games to watch from all the major (and minor) sports.

I did the same, but it lagged a lot and the quality went good to bad, and back and forth. I was just wondering if I should make an effort to improve my connection or if that just happens...

I watched last night's game on my aging MacBook Pro (so the brief hiccups may have been my machine trying to keep up). The full screen quality through Comcast was great.

I was freezing up every once in a while. Occasionally it would change to "low quality" but for the most part it was high quality.

I like ESPN3 better than nothing but I don't like ESPN3.

Is this possible on my PS3 internet browser?
I tried it on my PS3 and had no luck. I was really hoping it would work.

We ended up at our neighbors apt across the hall because they were able to hook a laptop up to their tv. It was lagging and it wasn't the ideal situation, but better than huddling around a laptop screen. The picture quality was suprisingly good.

Watched it on my computer. Though it was a little 'jerky' at times(maybe my connection speed?) the picture quality was quite good. Definitely better than BTN.com.

My experience w/ the 360 worked very, very well. Little to no lag, and picture quality was just fine. Not blu-ray crystal clear awesome, but more than servicable.

Tonight will be interesting because I can compare it directly to the SD broadcast on ESPNU. Not that said comparison is the reason I'm most excited for the game haha.

Being able to watch with my Xbox was great. Cheers to Microsoft and ESPN for getting this done. It was 10000 times better than watching on the computer screen.

Yeah, I watched the game on my Xbox as well. I also used it to watch the Siena game. However, ESPN3.com does not list our game as one that will be streamed live on ESPN3. A reply should be available about an hour after the game ends.

I was surprised. I tried out the XBOX dealy last night for the first time... for the first couple of minutes, I got some freezing... after that, it was golden. Good HD video, sound was good and no commercials ('we'll return shortly' or something to that effect, with no sound on the screen.)

Overall, I was impressed.

Yeah, the xbox live thing was absolutely money. I loved it. HD, nice sound, only a few hiccups. Plus, the bonus of having no commercials (and having my sound hooked up to speakers rather than the tv) was that I was able to just switch to the tv, wait until the sound for the basketball came back on, and then switch over without missing anything. Perfect!

Is this possible on my PS3 internet browser?

Not possible on the browser. However, you can download PLAYON software which will allow you to stream ESPN3(as long as your internet provider carries ESPN3) along with a bunch of other services. Just google PlayOn. It does cost money but there is a 14day trial for free.

If you don't have an xbox, just hook up an hdmi cord from your computer to your tv. It looked great on my tv.
