Played a lot last night, and played well. He got a mention for his solid play, usually covering Gronkowski. Chiefs All-Pro Eric Berry likely tore his achilles last night, meaning Murray should see even more extensive time and possibly even start at safety.

Yep. Murray played really well. He made a switch to Safety and has been impressing the Chiefs coaching staff with his versatility.

He played mostly in the nickel package until Berry's injury, at which point he took over for him at SS. Chief's depth chart lists him at FS, but as e.bigelow pointed out, one of the things they love about him is his versatility. I suspect he could play some CB if needed as well

Cheifs rushed 3, dropped 8 a majority of the night, so he was on the field a lot. He covered Gronk most of the second half, who finished with 2 catches for 33 yards.

Very cool and even though Murray was not on last year's team, it sounds like the Chiefs used a similar defense to what the Gophers used to slow down Wazzu.

It seemed crazy to rush 3 vs. Brady, as he often had a lot of time. The coverage must have been great as Brady Completed less than 50% of his passes. Late in the game they consistently got pressure on Brady, much like the Gophers pressure on WSU really amped up in the later stages. Maybe the Sawvel 8 is the new Tampa 2.
