Since Curry was a grad assistant first last year before getting pulled back in to play. Anyone think Johnson will find some capacity for him on his coaching staff this year? Don't even know what he could be eligible for.

He could be a grad student again. Plenty of other grad degrees he could work toward, even continue on toward a Phd.

I thought the plan was to still join the coaching staff, but I suppose that could have changed

Guessing he will be a Grad Assistant next year, he could get another Masters, a PHDetc

If we end up eating a scholarship, I say we just give it to him, let him travel with the team and there could be much worse 3rd or 4th options in the post (if he wants to play) and let him get another year of grad school for free.

Actually not a bad idea. He can functionally be a grad assistant but he could play in a pinch if needed. And he gets the year for free. One of the walk-ons might be pissed...but oh well, Curry deserves it.

Pretty sure Ben said publicly Curry is not up for that.

I think he did. Maybe Eric Curry took an internship at Cargill or something and realized putting off the "real world" for one more season to play basketball, get free education, and hang with his friends wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

I'm joking but it sure sounds like fun to me.

I really like Eric Curry, he has set an example of perseverance and commitment that a lot of Gopher fans will never forget. However, I think its time for Eric to move on to the rest of his life. I would hire him in an instant.
