Hopefully this is a scheduling quirk.

Two teams play cross division rivals NW/IL and OSU/MI.

Two others play traditional/proximate rivals from their division IN/PUR and NU/IA.

Leaving the remaining WI/PSU and MN/MSU.

PSU can't play MSU that weekend because they won't play them every year.

In no way did I think that by the time they were done with this MN wouldn't be playing either WI or IA on the last weekend of the season.

Why not have everyone end the season with a crossover? Essentially they are saying that the bucket is more importan than the ax.

Honestly, while I'd prefer a rivalry game to end the year its not the end of the world. Also, there is no guarantee that what you see here is what will happen every year. Lastly, if you notice we play IL next season, so even the regional rivalries aren't all set in stone.

The big 10 clearly wanted the big boys to end the season playing. That creates Michigan-OSU, PSU-Wisconsin, Iowa-Nebraska, etc.

Overall we got a great situation!
