So what are the chances that recruiting blows up in Washington and Colorado now that recreational use of marijuana is now legal in those two states?

Now 5-Star California kids will commit w/o a scholarship to attend CU.

Colorado has enough overweight, lazy players who don't care.

Still a federal law an more than likely against team rules. Same will hold true for NFL players. Not saying it won't have some appeal though to certain players. :cool02:

I thought legalizing marijuana on the state level meant absolutely nothing due to it still being a federal law. Am I missing something? I'm certainly no expert, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: I looked it up. Looks like I was wrong. One will be able to buy it in select stores and even be able to grow it at home.

Will be the subject of 'Good Question' tonight at 10pm ch 4.

The Colorado law will apply to those over the age of 21, minimizing the effect on college recruiting. Not that it matters much though, it's already so prominent in Boulder you would think it already was legal.

Don't know about recruiting but I just bought 1,000 shares of Frito-Lay.

Looks like it will be a complicated process to get the law implemented. I'm curious about driving while impaired. Anyone know if by law does pot impair one's driving? Pot is fat soluble so it stays in one's system for about 30 days. Does that mean you can smoke pot, but should not drive for 30 days, lest you be vulnerable to a DUI? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/...s-in-co_n_2079899.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular

Gotta think they'll only be able to do field sobriety tests for drivers, no breathalyzers for weed. That's a good question though.

They can do mouth swabs which would detect use for only up to 12-18 hours.

I don't know if it will help recruiting, but I think Denver or Seattle should now host the Smoke-a-Bowl on New Year's Day.

Or just put them in a room with Taco Bell or Cheetos and see how quick they demolish it.

It gives new meaning to the saying that we smoked that other team.

Also, everyone knows what happens when you start smokin' doobies. You end up living in a VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!
