I am about 5 hours from heading to Columbus. Any favorite places to eat in town? I am staying downtown but I am driving so I can go anywhere. The weather looks a tad better than earlier forecasts. Maybe a shower or two, but decent overall.

If you enjoy really good steak, then Mitchell's Steakhouse is one of the best in the Big Ten. It is a little pricey, but the steaks are really good. It is right downtown. You might try calling for a reservation now, as the night before a game, I'm guessing it is tough to get a table. Or, if you'll be in Columbus tonight, give a shot.

If you're more into a sports bar thing, there are several good ones around the NHL Arena area downtown.

Thanks! I'll check it out...

Skyline Chili is great if you're drunk and don't want a hangover the next morning (although you may have other adverse side-effects). Chili in Minnesota unfortunately can't hold a candle to Ohio chili. I'd import it everyday if I could.

Also, depending on your age, High Street is probably the best bet for a good bar/party. Again, I'm thinking back to when I was 19 or 20, but that's where most of the good bar action is.

Go to the Ohio Deli and Restaurant and take the Dagwood Challenge.

Last year when I was there we went to the Therman (sp) Cafe and we will be going there again this year. It is famous for its huge burgers. I would recomend it for sure.

We really enjoyed the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe when we were there last.
