Early RPI numbers: Gophers climb into 50s but not much help coming in December

Gophers improve their RPI by more than half after Tuesday's win over FSU, but not much help coming from the remainder of the nonconference opponents. Perhaps Omaha will give the Gophers a tussle? The Mavericks (4-3) have been competitive, playing Iowa and UNLV tough on the road, losing by 8 and 3 points, respectively. Don't let New Orleans' RPI fool you, the Privateers suck.

That doesn't make sense. We're 7-2 with 4 non-conference games to go. We should win those games and be 11-2 going into conference. They have us going 9-9 in conference. It should say 20-11 then...am I missing something?

Yes, someone input the wrong data and thinks we only have 12 total non-conference games, so they give a projected record of 10-2.

I haven't, thanks. If the Gophers have 4 or 5 RPI top-50 wins heading into the Big Ten Tournament. ... I think I'd take that. Woud likely be in a pretty good position for an at-large bid.

19-11, 9-9 and an RPI of 45 should put us in the NCAA Tourney field. That'd be a nice year one for Richard Pitino.

The RPI doesn't recognize the Chaminade win, it counts toward our record, but not RPI
