Good Morning Fellas!
Kirby Smart's butinski may be hurting since poaching Rashod Bateman couldn't be accomplish in such a short notice. Obviously, P5 programs on top of the food chain will have a few complaints because they don't get to sit back and get the pick of the litter.
Clearly, there is hope for many mid and lower tier programs who put in all the hard work on recruiting a kid whose stock value goes up only to be flipped right after bowl season when the heavy hitters do their final evaluations.
The stars are aligned just at the right time for PJ Fleck and northern schools. This IMHO will be a great benefit and may tip the balance slightly away from the super powers. They can secure the meat of their recruiting needs without spending enormous amount of resources to keep their recruits to stay committed. They can then take the time between early NSD and the February NSD to secure the missing pieces.
PJ Fleck will make history if he signs all twenty six recruits today. Will he be establishing a trend?
Will it level the playing field? Time will tell because for every action there is a reaction. All schools will be readjusting their recruiting strategy.

What about kids who are late bloomers or those who could possibly earn a late offer from their dream schools? Kids who are not super stars can get clarity and secure their spot knowing that they are not going to get bumped or encouraged to decommit when programs find a better prospects.
Schools are going to readjust and may be more selective to guarantee their recruits can meet all the school admissions & NCAA requirements.
Obviously, kids who are late qualifiers may be impacted greatly. But, they have between February 7 until April 1st next year to resolve any issues and find a landing spot.
There certainly will be a lot of strategic shifts. I like the chances of a MN improving their lot instead of being forever buried in 5th place in their division.
