Based on the weekend performances and the #21 ranking in the AP poll, I'm guessing the Gophers will be -1 or -2 when the lines are released tomorrow morning.

Does anybody know of a site where the lines come out earlier?

I actually think FSU will beat the Gophers because we'll likely have 24 turnovers and have problems with their defense....I think we'll get way behind early, make a 2nd half run and wind up losing 78-70. I can't see us winning on the road as sloppy as we are...And its not just our guards...Mbakwe, Eliason, Walker and even Austin Hollins can get very lax with passing.

-2.5 FSU opening line.

FSU has had more turnovers per game than the gophers.

Good optimism Moses... Love it

When it comes to betting, you can't be guided by your blind faith in the home team...I just think it's gonna be a lot like the Iowa Football game this year....First road game in a hostile environement and I just don't think we'll handle it very well. I hope I'm wrong, but I'll be surprised if we're even in the game.

Crazy disparity in the lines...I saw one place had the Gophers favored by 1 and all of the other casinos had FSU by 1 to 3. Could tip off as a pick'em.

The Gophers played in front of some pretty hostile home crowds in the NIT last year.

I'm not too concerned about our veteran team crumbling to the home crowd, either. Everyone who will play has already played a big ten game on the road. Good enough for me.

I'm actually more concerned about this game cause it is coming off a tournament where we had to go three tough games in three days, and then immediately go on the road to face a solid squad. This has signs of a letdown. Our key guys will have to show up, as is usually the case in road games anyway, but especially in this circumstance I think.

Speaking of travel, how did they handle it? The tourney ended Saturday afternoon for them, did they come back home, and then fly back down to Florida a day later? Or did they just stay down there?

From the looks of it on twitter. They went straight to FSU from the Bahamas. Same with all of the media members.

Hopefully, they stayed in Bahamas Saturday night...Flew to Tallahassee Sunday afternoon. Practiced in Tallahassee yesterday and got some decent sleep last night.

Solid take. I would add to that though they didn't win the tourney they did well for themselves winning 2 games and getting revenge on Stanford for the loss in the NIT.

Scouting FSU, their starting PG Ian Miller, who averages 25 minutes per game is only 4 for 11 on FT attempts...Hopefully our coaches (Saul) stayed sober enough on this trip to take note of that anomoly. If the game is close, we don't wanna foul Snaer.

Miller is actually an above average FT shooter. The question with him is whether or not he'll be able to play much with a bad wheel tonight.

4 for 11 is a small sample, but its enough for me to believe he's at least a little shaky on the stripe...I doubt JJ Redick every had a stretch where he went 4 for 11.

He was 77% last year. JJ Redick was one of the best free throw shooters of all time.

If South Alabama can win at FSU, the Gophers can and should win. The Gophers should provide the first real test for the Seminoles, I'd be very surprised if the Gophers don't control the game from the onset.

Florida State only has one returning starter, Michael Snaer. Ian Miller(G) and Okaro White(F) both played significant minutes last year, but did not start. They have been up and down so far this year while playing a number of freshmen, including a 7'-3" center from the Slovak Republic. Tonight's game will depend a lot on which FSU team shows up. They've been like Jeckyl and Hyde thus far this season. I think the Gophers have a distinct advantage in experience and front line depth. I look for them to be in a close game early and then pull away in the second half.

I'll be at the game tonight in my Gopher gear in the nose bleed seats. Looking forward to seeing the Gophers play in person the first time since Monson and crew were in Tallahassee several years ago. I'll check in later when I get home and give you my thoughts on the game. Go Gophers.

I hope you're right! Have fun!

This years FSU team is nowhere near as good as last years ACC Championship team. They have minimal experience on the front line. Trevor and Rodney should be able to exploit this. If the Gophers play a sound game they should beat them.

I'm pretty sure FSU will approach this game a little differently than South Alabama.
