per Pat Dye, a College Football Hall of Fame member and former Auburn athletic director and head coach:

As Auburn prepares for its New Year’s Day Outback Bowl game in Tampa the Tigers need to take their opponent very seriously, I believe. The Auburn football team needs to make sure this isn’t a trap game.

P.J. Fleck has done an outstanding job since taking over as head coach at Minnesota and I believe he will have his team ready to play very well vs. Auburn. The Gophers have built a strong offense and have solid numbers on defense, too.

Fleck worked his way up the ranks and has done a lot of impressive things as a head coach at both Western Michigan and Minnesota as well as in previous jobs as an assistant coach. His success at Minnesota may be a surprise to a lot of people, but the right coach can make a real difference.

Go Gophers!!
