Dutcher: No Big Ten Teams to Final Four

So did he pick Syracuse after Melo was suspended, or was his quote before that? I just don't see Syracuse getting past the S16, let alone to the championship game.

Personally, I had FSU over OSU and Vandy over Syracuse before the suspension.

I have Sparty winning it all - Also Ohio St. In the Final 4. I think the Big Ten or at least these two will show up this year.

I think our conference was a tough conference when we played each other. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get out of the first weekend without any teams left except for maybe OSU. OSU can be very good, but at times they do struggle. MSU survives a lot on their reputation and I think drama green is not as good as many people think he is. If sconnie beats Montana, I really don't think they are going to beat Vandy. Mich has a chance, but can hardaway and burke be enough? Any wins for Ind or Purdue are bonus wins for the conference. I'll probably be wrong, but thats why they play the games!

Ohio St. probably has the easiest route to the Final Four. Who knows what Michigan ST. will do. Part of me thinks they'll go to the F4, part of me thinks they may go down in the 2nd game. Wisconsin lives and dies with the 3, so who knows what will happen to them. They could lose the first one pretty easily or go on a run. Who the hell knows what's going to happen this year.

Head scratcher: the University of Washington won the Pac-12 regular season championship with a 14-4 record and didn’t receive an invitation to the NCAA tournament.

Is that site like The Onion or something?

I have the 6 big ten teams winning a total of 8 games. None in final four.

A guesstimate at Big Ten performance: 12 wins

Michigan State (Elite 8)
Michigan (Sweet 16)
Ohio State (title game loser)
Wisconsin (Round of 32)
Indiana (Round of 32)
Purdue (1 and done)

Syracuse looks like they will lose to Kansas State, so I think Dutcher is going to be way off on them. But that doesn't mean there will be a Big Ten team to come out of that region, though, with Vandy and FSU both contenders. I know people don't want to hear it here, but Syracuse's demise is exactly the type of thing that Bo Ryan capitalizes on - he's never beaten any top seeds in the tournament before, but Syracuse being without their defensive stalwart in the middle makes that top half wide open for Wisconsin.
