Duluth Tribune: Duluth East's Johnny Woodard out with injury until Jan/Feb

Significance of thread?

Are we facing Duluth East in the preseason this year?

I thought a certain physical therapist that reads this board may want to look for a new client!

Seriously though, Woodard has been discussed a decent amount on this board the last few months as one of the better kids in the state, and saw his recruitment pick up earlier in the summer.

Go Gophers!!

Hmmmm......

Are we facing Duluth East in the preseason this year?

This is the basketball board and this player is considered one of the best basketball players in the state. According to the article, he has been receiving recruiting interest from the Gophers.

You know, you are right...I can't imagine why this thread is significant or why any Gopher fan would want to read it.

It would be really cool if he walked on here. I don't expect that of him though when he could go to UW-Milwaukee for free. But he most deffinately won't get the offers he deserves because of the injury. I sense a Mid-major/Low-major star in the making

+1

Thanks, Bleed

For those reactionary posters, this was a comment on our preseason schedule, not the player.

There's another rumor floating around that he'll be ineligible because of his age.

Somebody like Wofford should offer him. He may not warrant a risk from a High Major division 1 team but he could really develop into a nice player at some mid/low level division 1 school.
