I don't know if I'm more stunned by lack of Gopher or that MSU is that high.
 

Strangely, the one team I least want to see the Gophers draw in the 1st round of the Battle 4 Atlantis is #39 VCU. I see the potential for VCU pressing the Gophers out of the gym.
 

I don't consider leaving us out as all that egregious, I mean Stanford put the whupping on us in that final and they're 38. NIT runs don't get a lot of people's attention.

When you return everyone and add a pre-season All-America front court player, it should.
 

he probably is clueless about trevor, and andre blowing up the last part of the season

Yeah I would rather have Duke or Mizzou first round. I would like Louisville on the otherside of the bracket as well
 

Would love to beat duke at the start of the season. That would be a fun matchup to see.
 



Four big ten teams in the top ten, but Minnesota can't even break the top 40? I feel like this list was thrown together in five minutes. That's okay with me though. I feel like it might be a good thing for us to be sleepers.
 

Mizzou would not be a good matchup for the gophers. Neither would VCU, of course anyone in that tournament is gonna be a tough game, but I would say hope we do not see VCU or Mizzou in the first round.
 

Am I the only one that's ok with this? I have no facts to back this up, but I think it's better to end the year ranked than begin the year ranked.

I get it though. Respect is nice. It helps with recruiting, etc, etc.

Being ranked at the beginning of the year makes it easier to be ranked at the end of the year.

Winning a whole bunch of games also helps with that. I think I'd prefer that method over the "Dick Vitale probably thinks we'll be good but doesn't really know anything about us" method.
 

Can I blame him for leaving us out? No. Is it humorous to think Dickie V knows more than the average fan about college basketball? Absolutely
