March 18 will be the second anniversary of Souhan's infamous Xavier article which led to the "Baldy McWhimperson" tirade on his blog the next day. He also predicted that Tubby would be gone in 15 months and Devoe Joseph needed to be replaced because of his poor defense.
His overly petulant prediction that Pitt would school Xavier in the next round was classic Souhan.
The guy is a tool. He went all in on bashing the program and won't stop until he's right.

The philosophy of most (not all) local sports radio shockjocks and columnists is quite simple:

If you throw enough (sic: crap) on the wall, eventually some of it's going to stick. At some point, they're going to be right about something.

To this day Jim Souhan's still probably not aware that Xavier is a strong basketball program and has been for a long, long time. ... from Pete Gillen (1985-94), to the late Skip Prosser (1994-01), to Thad Matta (2001-04), to Sean Miller (2004-09) and yes, to this point, Chris Mack (2009-present), aka Baldy McWhimperson.

X is one of the very best programs from outside the Big 6, in elite company with the likes of Temple, Memphis, Gonzaga & Butler, to name a few. The Gophers would do well to hang in that company. Those are winning programs.
