Dre. Dre. Dre.

Favorite player in recent memory. He is SO MUCH FUN to watch!

He WAS the game tonight. Does the NIT have an MVP Award?

We played like WI tonight, as we needed to, so Dre played like Jordan Taylor, as required to play like WI.

He was fouled twice in the last seconds of reg. He is a stud. Enjoy the next two years, He will be a lottery pick.

Please don't compare the Gophers to Wisconsin. I have an early class tomorrow. Can't afford to be up late vomiting.

Andre was the only Gopher that looked liked he wanted to touch the ball the last five minutes of regulation and in OT. No one else wanted the ball.

You can't teach what he has.

Go Gophers!!

Great to see in a young point guard.

The moxey was good. The rest of the team failing to rise to the moment was awful. Good thing Washington blew their wad tying the game in regulation. They only had something like 4 points in OT. Overall though, it was a fun game to watch. I told my son, win or lose, I was happy. It will be fun to see them one more time.

And does anyone think Tubby has the balls to start RSIII in the championship game?

You can see that under pressure, the only one that had ice in his veins was Dre. The game shouldn't have been that close, especially in over time. Williams made some mistakes. EE made some. Welch couldn't even make one free throw when we needed it. Dre is the go to guy for the next 3 - 4 years. 90+% free throws? WOW!

Well we only had one more point than they did in OT so its not as if we were running wild on O.

Go Gophers!!

Conversely, what the hell Rodney? I kept waiting for him to step up at the end of reg and OT but nothing happened.

I love Rodney but his propensity to disappear is a huge concern heading into his senior year.

Rodney seemed to be done once he hit 4 fouls and went to the bench. He came back in and tried to get some shots, but they were bad shots and he was crying for fouls. I actually thought the refs let 2-3 calls against Rodney go since it would have been his 5th.

'Dre was great tonight, that last bank shot was SO tough! I thought for sure he'd miss one of those late FT"s with the announcers going on and on about what a great free throw shooter he was, but...NOPE, ice water baby.

Sarcasm?

This is right.

Another thing was that they started running a 4 across, high ball screen with 10 seconds left every possession. I would like to start that a little earlier in the shot clock so there may be an opportunity to move the ball a bit. However, we were riding Andre's hot hand.

Lebron?

I will add, Im okay with Rodney shooting threes but he needs to do it in rhythm. Not after he's held the ball for 5 minutes and realized his defender is letting him shoot. He hits them more often in rhythm and confident than when standing and thinking eh might as well.

I would only allow Rodney to shoot a 3 from a pass from the inside out, the highest % for making a 3. He is our best offensive rebounder. I would give him that shot too. He has made an amazing surge. But yes end of game he hasn't had it as much.

If Rodney, like a lot of young players, could learn a jump stop, he could take one or two dribbles and jump stop in the lane, and rise up over everyone and just flip it in softly. He attacks, ends up at a bad angle, then wants a foul. Maybe Andre can show him, he does it as a freshmen.

Either way, I am very happy to be watching this team, and excited for Thursday and next year!!

That's the best part about this dude - he's willing to accept that mantle. He doesn't back down from what the team needs him to do. At the same time, I don't expect him to go Westbrook and take it too far in the wrong direction. He has his head on straight.

Love Dre & Trevor, hope I get to see them play together.

Other favorite combo was J'son and Grier, Stamper for his toughness and Grier was just fun to watch. The difference is Dre seems like a great guy, Grier is a knucklehead (ever seen his tweets?).

I hope Tubby has the brains to keep him on the bench. You can't coach heart/desire.
