per Doogie's tweet:

"@DarrenWolfson: Did a long sit-down w/ Maturi. Saw the drafts for the new Barn scoreboard. Nice. He fully expects Tubby back next year."

Go Gophers!!

Will the new scoreboard be mostly advertising ala TCF.

Assume it will have the state-of-the-art High Resolution LED Display Screen on which we will never see a controversial replay.

I don't think the U has any say over that. I'm pretty sure that's a Big Ten or even NCAA rule. I could be wrong, though.

Yup, I'm sure you're right. Come to think of it, probably an initiative from the Officials Union ...Eddie H could never stand the scrutiny.

I thought the same thing. That a big chunk to he the ball rolling.

I thought the same thing about the practice facility, but the scoreboard at Williams is pretty embarrassing. At least the athletic department is upgrading something. I wish I would win the lottery so I could pay for the practice facility.

They need to do something about them stupid cramped bathrooms. I'm sick of those piss tubs!

They had those same scoreboards at Costco last week for 1.8 million.

Because they need to roll out improvements to show why they are charging the seat fees. This is the sort of upgrade and improvement the seating fees make possible.

Also remember that digital a scoreboard can bring in advertising dollars. Who knows how much though.

That would never happen at the Barn.

Yeah. For those of us who think the promos are bad now, wait until we all have a giant digital TV to "entertain" us during every game break.
