I saw something on a scout forum that implied that he was visiting here.

I see he is leaving Oregon.

Anymore information?
 

We were in on him coming out of high school and if I remember correctly it came down to us and Oregon. Would like to see him visit here, although I don't have any idea how he's been since he went to Oregon. Doesn't look like he's played at all.
 



Well he's not gonna get any PT there. Oregon is stacked at RB
 


If he were to come here, would he have to sit out a year even though it appears he may not have played last year?

Yes, I believe he still would sit out a year:
5 years to play 4
2010 Red Shirt at OR
2011 Transfer year at MN
2012, 2013 and 2014 eligible to play
 

He is not coming here. Purely speculation about the "possibility" on the Scout board, given that he had visited here last year. Better chance of him going to Becky now that Hammock is there than there is coming here.

The depth chart isn't much easier at wisc than it was at Oregon. If that is why he's leaving.

I don't think Hammock recruited him. Texas wasn't/isn't his recruiting area and Rivals doesn't give list him as Williams primary recruiter.

I do agree though that there is nothing but speculation linking him here (or anywhere else) at this point. By 2012 our RB depth chart would be pretty deep too (not comparing to OR or WISC, just saying deep).
 

I am the one that brought it up on the scout board because I saw that Williams was leaving. I know he had visited here and enjoyed but he decided that Oregon was a better fit at that time. I was asking to see what people had thought and if people had any idea if we would be interested. Speculation on my part but I do hope we contact him to gauge his interest.

PS - I believe that Cross was Williams primary recruiter when he took his visit here
 

I know he wasn't his primary recruiter, I was just meaning that he was the RBs coach and would know more about him than anyone on Kill's staff. Basically just trying to say there is no way in he!! this staff recruits him here.

I don't think he would be affected by Hammock's decision at all unless Becky was recruiting him which seems unlikely. At the time Williams was being recruited most of us thought Cross was the best recruiter on the staff. He might not recognize Hammock.

Just watched his youtube highlights and I'd love to have him on the team, I'm not going to hold my breath.
 

It would be at least a little alleviating the irritation of Devoe going to Oregon, though I don't blame Oregon for that one. A little payback would be nice.
