So u really think there are ghers who wish those rioters were somehow successful? That there are conservative leaders who wish those rioters were successful?
They've moved on to plan B. In 2024, states like Georgia and Arizona will simply claim "fraud" declare the Rs won and send R electors no matter what the vote said. No riot needed. Still the end of our democracy.

Define success. If it had delayed or disrupted the counting of the votes, I think yes, there are conservative leaders who wanted that.

Yes. Here's one:

You watch too much TV. It wasn't a riot. Riots look like what we saw in the summer of 2020. There were no guns, no one got killed by the protestors and there is video of the protestors being ushered into the building. The protestors were asked by Trump to peacefully protest and almost all of them did exactly that. The certification should have been delayed considering the issues at stake and the lack of confidence in the elections by half the country. So no- this is not a stupid thread. This is educational.

Bga1 would never say the rioters shouldve rioted. Certainly given the irregularities therecwas good reason to scrutinize the process.
I wasn’t thinking of him, but he’s basically saying they were Let in, or that the rioters were agents for the other side, not MAGA.

That was the POINT, FFS. They were sent to the capitol with the express purpose of stopping the certification of electors.

Christ, that's EXACTLY what they think. There are plenty still today trying to overturn the election.

Who sent them? By the way, given hunter's laptop situation, allowing joe to hide in his basement, impeachment farces, extreme media, tech, and academia hate for trump, would be stupid for repubs not to suspect election night shenanigans. The irregularities that occurred election night didnt help.

Main thing is we need to find a way where both sides have confidence in our next election. My recommendation is use no machines and have many witnesses from both sides at polling places. We have to be smart enuf to figure this out.

Hunter's laptop has led to absolutely nothing. If Rudy had the goods, you'd know by now.,
Nobody has proven any election night shenanigans. If you want to find flaws, they would be found in the days leading up to the election. Covid led to a relaxation of a lot of processes, remedies for that are being debated now. But all the material about hacking machines has proven to be noise. Remember the satellites in Italy taking over the machines? The server seized by Delta Force? The Dominion Cesar Chavez connection? It has all proven to be noise, in service of 45, who NEEDS there to be an asterisk on his loss, because he is a sore loser. That's it plain and simple. He needs people to not trust American Democracy to keep his fragile ego from being damaged, and millions are complicit in doing so. The guy will die in a few years, but the BS will follow us forever. Don't be duped.

Facebook even apologized for banning new york post. That banning never shouldve happened. Facebook certainly wouldnt have banned if it was don jr. Speaks volumes.

You may or may not be correct regarding shenanigans, point is we need to figure out how to run an election that leaves no room for doubt next election.

Exactly.

These people constantly blather about 'voter irregularities', and yet despite all the frivolous lawsuits and all the smoke and mirrors and sound and thunder, no proof of substantial voter fraud has been produced. Not in court, not anywhere. None.

It's simply more lying and , and more of the same old gaslighting. So tiresome.

Real estate agent who asked Trump for a pardon pleads guilty in Capitol riot

A Texas real estate agent who went viral after asking former President Donald Trump to pardon her for storming the Capitol pleaded guilty Thursday to a misdemeanor for her role in the riot.
Jenna Ryan, 51, pleaded guilty to illegally demonstrating inside the Capitol building on January 6. She agreed to pay $500 in restitution for damage done to the Capitol during the riot. Prosecutors have cut the same deal for other low-level defendants who weren't violent or destructive inside the building.

She could face a sentence of up to six months in prison, according to her agreement with prosecutors read at her plea hearing on Thursday, though it is likely Ryan will be ordered to serve much less, or even no jail time, when she is sentenced in November. Ryan's plea comes as prosecutors ramp up efforts to resolve cases against defendants that face lesser charges, with four more defendants scheduled to plead guilty this week.

Yea if everyone who stormed the capitol got bullets to the head, along with every arsonist and looter in the BLM riots. I am fine with it as they are all violent crimes. You commit a violent crime I think you should fear for your life.

I'd have to replay the tape but I don't think police had their lives threatened in the BLM riots like in the Capitol assault, where several actually died. That's where use of deadly force seems to have been called for in response but for some reason withheld.

Oh??

FBI admits that there was no planned insurrection or anything like it:

WASHINGTON, Aug 20 (Reuters) - The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.

Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.
