Of course not. We're not.

Better question: Is he working on his resign letter.

I hope so? I want a change but the man clearly puts everything he has into the team. He's not a bad person.

Was wondering the same thing. I'd say absolutely not.

I genuinely feel bad for the guy. He seems like a good guy who really cares about the program. After today, though, he's got to be feeling like his days as a head coach are probably numbered. That can't be an easy thing to stomach. Kind of like when I realized I was too fat and dumb to be a test pilot. Poor bastard.

Sure he will. On the couch. His wife can't accept mediocrity either.

Wow. If this is all he has, how'd his resume even make it to Maturi's desk?

Oh you don't know?? Vince young! Antonio Gates! Mack Brown! He is first and foremost in the Tight End coaching ranks.

seriously though, no way he sleeps tonight. I am surprised by the lack of Cosgrove bashers though. Has our D ever been this bad and unprepared since Brew has been here? Didn't Husker fans say we were in for something like this? hmmm

Do you think this result is what he wants? He wants to win.

Yes but many thought that they knew more than the 2 HOF coaches that sent Cosgrove on his way out the door.

I agree. Yesterday was the first time I actually felt bad for Brewster. I was pleased to hear his comments after the game. I thought it was classy that he stayed out on the field even after his players bailed. And against an awful program like South Dakota, I really think the coaching ability of the Gophers' staff should be basically irrelevant. The Gopher PLAYERS need to take a long, hard look in the mirror for this one and realize how bad they are. They shouldn't need any coaching to beat South Dakota.

I genuinely feel bad for the guy.

One way of avoiding this is to ponder the ratio between 1) his qualifications and contributions to the world and 2) the size of his bank account. I find that this thought experiment leads me to 3) never, ever pity people like Tim Brewster.

I heard that he initially had trouble getting to bed, but managed to count missed tackles until he finally fell asleep.
