This is going to be a very difficult game for Minneosta to win. Not only did they get out-hustled and out-played against Ohio State, but Northwestern will be extra motivated. The Wildcats have one of the toughest schedules in the country and find itself as one of the "final four out" of the bracket. A win here would keep their dream alive of getting in for the first time in school history. And if that's not enough, NW will have a little redemption in its mind after getting blown again by the Gophers last month. Oh and by the way, the Cats will be playing at HOME! I realize that no one really takes the Predict the Score thread seriously, but I am surprised that almost everyone has chosen the Gophers to win. I don't get it!

I can remember several games like this for Northwestern with tournament aspirations on the line. Butthead.

Will Northwestern fall flat on their faces like they've done in the past?

We'll see.

Would like to see Northwestern make the dance, just not at the expense of our Gophers.

This game is of equal importance to us too, if we lose, it's over for us. Our players realize this and I believe they will bring their "A" game today. As long we can defend the 3 and keep them from getting hot from deep, there is absolutely zero reason we should lose this game. I was shocked when I saw that Northwestern is favored by 4.

Watch for them to start game in the 1-3-1 zone. They went to it to late at Williams. Gophers 4 point dogs.

why would anyone be shocked that Northwestern is favored? Minnesota has lost their last 3 in Evanston, were only 5.5 pt favorites at home last game, the teams are pretty even on a neutral floor and Northwestern with revenge they should be the favorite at home.

First of all, no is is surprised about you. secondly, Ya, you are right, you don't get it. Enjoy your misery.

If I had a dollar for everytime BigGopherFan started a thread about him feeling pessimistic about a game and calling out Gopher fans for predicting the Gophers to win I would be set for life with enough money left over to pay off our country's debt.

First off, is BigGopherFan the guy who started that thread during the Illinois game about how frustrated he was with the team's collapse? Only to have the team comeback! Talk about inserting foot in mouth. Also didn't he also the start the Tubby has to go thread that was followed by a three game winning streak? Perhaps him jumping off the bandwagon is the goodluck charm this team needs, the problem seems to be when he jumps backs on.

No one is eliminated from anything with a loss today, dummy. And you're surprised that a forum of (mostly) Gopher fans is generally optimistic about beating a team they're better than? That says a lot more about you than it does about any of us, chump.

Also started a thread questioning the direction of the program after losing to Penn State (even though we actually won) and has started countless threads exactly like this. It's what he's known for around here.

I'm probably in the minority, but I love watching NU just miss every year. It's kind of a tradition.

I don't get it.:)

A sleepy mid-February game between two 5-8 teams is the biggest game in NW hoops history? Yeah, I don't think so. Northwestern doesn't have the most illustrious basketball history, but give me a break. I guarantee they care more about every game they've ever played against Illinois as much or more than they do about tonight.
