Do you think the subtraction of Paul Carter will end up helping us?

I'm guessing it was Carter's transfer that led us to pick up Armelin late. And he looks like he could be a pretty darn good player over the long haul. I really liked Paul Carter, but I wonder where he would of fit in this year. Do you guys think he'd have started over Rodney Williams? Just wondering how you think we'd have done if he was still here...

Actually I think Oto Osenieks "replaced" Carter. Both 6-8 forwards who could play 3 or 4 spot.

Absolutely not, Paul always had great energy, was one of our best rebounders/defenders, and is showing this year that he also had great offensive skills. I'd easily start him over Rodney right now. *Waits for 10 posters to tell me that Rodney is a sophomore*

Carter would have given the Gophers another three point option and at small forward. The team would definately be better with him.

Well what I'm hoping, is that Rodney develops into the kids all the NBA scouts think he could be. And getting a chance to start on this team could help with that...

Who knows? But you always hate to see a player go, especially one who played with such enthusiasm and energy as PC, and especially given the situation that led to him leaving.

Carter

We may become better, but I would have loved to have him return. He was one of my favorites on last year's team, and what a role model - one of the best in recent years.

and who would Royce start for.

Sorry I couldn't resist - and I hope he has a great career at ISU.
