Dienhart: Minnesota #4 OL in the Big Ten

Great to see this as our strength again!! From the article:

4. Minnesota. With four starters back, the Gophers will be strong along the line. Left tackle Ben Lauer is a young star. Josh Campion is a classic run blocker at 6-5, 326. He engulfs foes. Tommy Olson moved from guard to center last year and excelled. Left guard Zac Epping is the grizzled vet. Line coach Matt Limegrover does a good job with this group.

Go Gophers!!

I wonder if we would have been top 3 with Bak, hopefully Pirsig can start and add even more size to a great O-line.

This list is exactly why the West is going to be very underrated compared to the East.

From what Kill and crew has told us, Jon C. isn't loitering either:cool:
That brutal month of November will be a year from injury for him.
Love to have him around then!

I agree with one of the two people who commented on the article - OSU returns one starter, yet has the third-best line? I get they're probably going to be starting previous 4star recruits, but that's just dumb.

I have to question putting Michigan ahead of Indiana. Michigan lost their tackles to graduation and they were terrible last year. Indiana had a pretty successful offense last year and would have had a 1000 yard rusher had he not been injured.

Saw him on campus last week, certainly not limping or favoring a leg. I'd bet he's ready for fall camp.
We've got to have the most starts among our group in the B1G, not a indicator of greatness, but even guys like Bush, Leinkiwitz, and Bobek have starting experience.
I sincerely am interested in seeing what kind of sustained running game we have this year.

Addition by subtraction?

Lewan was a train-wreck in so many ways last year...even the maize and blue crowd was happy he was done there.

A lot of Dienhart's explanations don't match his rankings, strange. Pretty obvious bias towards Michigan and Ohio St. (shocker) while a team like Indiana should be higher.

Our O-Line should be an absolute machine this year. Can't wait.

I still have concerns with pass blocking. However, better WR and QB play can aid them.

I'd say no. IA and WI are OL factories. tOSU recruits like no one else in the B1G. 4th is pretty high praise, if you ask me.

I think the talking heads will be a little more apt to give us the benefit of the doubt given our recent history and Kill's track record.
