All I caught was when he was in the refs face and his assistant was restraining him.

Does anyone know why?

Obviously, he's frustrated, having lost about 10 straight games. He was upset with a touch foul called on Jones about 30 feet from the basket in a blowout game. Terrible call by Tom O'Neill. Crean went nuts. Blew off some steam. Wheels coming off of the IU train this year.

Climbing in Big 10 no easy chore

My guess is he's trying to find some way to wake up his reeling ball club. He probably hears fans starting to grumble. It was a nice acting job by Crean. Completely planned & stage T. I think he realizes his honeymoon is about over. It's not enough anymore just to be "Mr. Rah-Rah, Look How Hard I Work". That act gets old with fans, especially when you're losing.

Crean is finding out what Tubby, Lickliter and Beilein have already found out. ... it's no easy chore climbing up the Big 10 ladder. It's hard enough to get to the middle of the pack, let alone the upper echelon.

I loved it. I'd like to see Tubby becomed unglued like that now and again.

I just happened to catch him just as he was erupting. It was pretty funny because they followed him to the locker room and he was kicking the door on the way in. You couldn't hear him but it sure looked like a stream of expletives was coming out of his mouth.

Of all the Big Ten coaches.....

like his "courtside" demeanor the least. I know it's been said that Tubby needs to be more emotional, but this guy is a walking time bomb. Up and down, and up and down, never sits down...never shuts up, rarely stops clapping.......it's got to get old.

Having said that, he may be a swell guy away from the court. Gene Keady used to bug the hell out of me, but was one of the nicest guys on the planet away from game.

I agree Lefty. Easily the most annoying coach in the Big 10. I call him the "pacer". He's a good coach, but his pacing drives me nuts.

I do miss the Clem Haskins undressing progression. Starting with the tie loosening and ending with the jacket toss. I'll never forget the game at IU when he got tossed in about the first 5 minutes, IIRC. Getting calls there when Mr. Knight was around, was about like the Kohl Center today.

Tubby's stare is great and all, but it's not the same.

You have everything right but the good coach part. :)

That team is putrid. You can be young, but you can teach them to play the game the right way. They lack talent, basketball smarts and experience. Bad combination.

That was Indiana's worst loss at home since 1914. They are not getting better any time soon. They should cut their losses while they can.

Crean had a meal ticket named D. Wade and has cashed it in to the hilt. He deserves credit for that, but he is being exposed.

He has also figured out that the Indiana name does not quite carry the same weight that it used to on the recruiting trail. That fan base will be calling for his head by January of next year, if they are not already.

Lol. It looked pretty crazy. Wisconsin can do that to people.

GV, I agree with a couple of your thoughts on Crean but with all due respect, any comments about Crean coming from Wisconsin or Marquette fans, I tend to take with a grain of salt.

I wouldn't argue that the jury's still out on whether this will work out for IU. I certainly think Lickliter and DeChellis' players are competing much harder for their head coach than Crean's.
