BTN asked Tyler Nubin about young guys on the defense who are ready to step up.

He said there are a lot and mentioned Logan-Redding and Booker up front, Williams at LB, and Dixon at nickel.

Dixon and Redding year three guys who have seen the field some already.

Dixon got a lot of mentions from coaches this Spring. Georgia guys play physical. Excited to see him.

I remember in recruiting JLR thinking it was good to flip a Missouri guy from Mizzou. Lot of opportunity with Mafe and Ozezi gone.

Fleck mentioned Williams a couple of times last year as a true frosh who was impressing. Comes from a strong program in Dublin, Ohio.

Booker was another true frosh Fleck seemed really impressed with last year...from a strong program in Indiana.

With the young talent stepping up and the portal adds of the two dbs (Beanie and Stapp) who both looked very good this spring and the portal adds of the Clemson and Vandy dlinemen and the big DT out of Texas, Rossi should have the pieces.

Interesting yesterday that Fleck mentioned his 2022 secondary may be best they have had (with a hat tip to AW), mentioned 2022 dl may be bigger, longer, faster and stronger than last year's good group, and said this may be best LB depth he's had.

PJ is not so quietly confident and optimistic about this season.
